Please note: It is the policy of the JNH and set out in subsection 75 (2) of the Long Term Care Act that all prospective hires to the facility obtain a criminal reference check. Also Tuberculin skin testing/screening is a requirement.

JOB APPLICATION FORM

Volunteering

All volunteers are recruited and supervised by the Home’s Director of Programs. Our volunteers include people of all ages and from all walks of life.

A number of local organizations, agencies, and church groups also assist with regularly scheduled group activities such as bingo and monthly birthday parties or provide one-on-one visiting. The John Noble Home appreciates all volunteer work and provides a special volunteer recognition dinner annually. In addition to volunteers, the Home accepts students for clinical placement for several colleges. The students not only gain insight into the care of the elderly, they bring socialization for the residents.

Volunteer Opportunities

Spiritual Volunteer

Assist with our spiritual care programs, including bible studies, hymn sings, non-denomination church services and portering residents to and from Sunday Church Services.

Music Volunteer

Opportunities for volunteers that can provide sing-a-longs or instrumental music on resident home areas.

Hair Salon

Opportunities for volunteers to porter residents to and from the hair salon appointments, engage in conversation while in the salon.

Café

Opportunities for volunteers to assist in the café. Assisting residents, families and staff with their purchases

Recreation

Opportunities for volunteers to assist with home wide and home area recreation programming. Check out our home area calendars under Publications & News

Day and Stay Center

The Day and Stay has opportunities for Volunteers on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. –1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. –7:00 p.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Volunteers would be assisting  with lunch and dinner service; setting up the dining room, supporting clients with their meals and helping with clean up.


The Day and Stay also has opportunities for weekend Volunteers to assist staff with activities; such as reading to clients, assisting with crafts and other programs.

Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus.
