The Nutrition Services Department provides both food and clinical nutrition service for our residents.
Resident meals are prepared daily, on site, by our culinary experts in our main kitchen. Food is transported just prior to meal service to one of our six resident home area serveries. Meals are served in a dining room setting offering two choices. A large print daily menu and weekly menu is posted just outside the dining room to help residents make their meal selection in advance of the meal.
The menu is a three week menu cycle with seasonal variations. Menus are planned in accordance to the Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide for Healthy Eating, the Long Term Care Homes Act and resident’s food preferences. Our residents are provided breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, beverages and snacks are offered between meals and at bedtime. Variety is added to the menus by incorporating resident choice menus and special theme menus to celebrate holidays or special occasions.
To meet individual dietary needs, we offer regular, modified texture consistencies and therapeutic diets. Our Registered Dietitian is available to provide individual nutrition counseling and assist with any specialized nutritional needs. Each resident is assessed by the Registered Dietitian on admission to the Home.
We encourage residents and families to provide feedback on concerns as they occur by contacting the Nutrition Services Manager/RD at 519-756-2920 ext. 4235 or the Nutrition Services Supervisor at 519-756-2920 ext.4238.

The Home is partnered with many community ministers for residents wishing to remain connected with their faith outside the home.
Community clergy will be contacted at the request of the resident or family member to facilitate ongoing support from their community place of worship.
